Abstract

Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) is a set of economic data that can be used to evaluate the economic development performance of a region (provincial or regency / city). This data set can also be used for other purposes, such as the basis for developing economic models in order to formulate policy formulations, the velocity of money, financial sector deepening, taxation, export studies and import and so on. According to macroeconomic theory, the calculation of GRDP can be done through three approaches: the production / supply approach (GRDP by Industry), the final expenditure / demand approach (GRDP by Expenditure) and the income approach (GRDP by income). All three approaches in calculation will theoretically produce the same GRDP figures. This publication specifically addresses the GRDP according to the final expenditure / demand approach. This approach is broken down into several components: Household Consumption Expenditures, Consumption Expenditures of Non-Profit Institutions Serving Households (NPISHs), Government Consumption Expenditures, Investment (Gross Fixed Capital Formation and Inventory Changes), Overseas Exports, Overseas Imports, and Net Inter-Regional Exports (inter-regional exports are reduced by inter-regional imports). GRDP data in this publication and subsequent publications use the 2010 base year, and have applied the concept of the System of National Accounts 2008 as recommended by the United Nations. To all members of the Publication Drafting Team who have contributed in realizing this publication, the highest appreciation was conveyed. Likewise, thank you to the government agencies and private institutions/ companies that have provided data support for the preparation of this publication. Hopefully the cooperation that has existed this long can continue and can be improved in the future. It is realized that the data and information presented in this publication still need improvement. Therefore, any constructive input is greatly appreciated for the further improvement of the contents of this publication.Hopefully this publication is useful for all parties who need it.
