Abstract

In August 2024, Nabire Regency experienced year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation of 5.40 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 111.53.
The y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index in: food, beverages, and tobacco group by 9.57 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 2.62 percent; household equipment, tools, and routine maintenance group by 1.64 percent; health group by 1.35 percent; transportation group by 1.80 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 3.67 percent; education group by 1.58 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 6.19 percent; and personal care and other services group by 4.39 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in the index were the clothing and footwear group by 1.50 percent and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.59 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate in Nabire Regency in August 2024 was 0.56 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 2.48 percent.
