Abstract

In February 2024, there was a year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Nabire Regency of 4.08 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.12.
Year-on-year inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by the rise in expenditure group indices in the following categories: food, beverages, and tobacco group by 5.43 percent; clothing and footwear group by 2.14 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuels group by 3.78 percent; furnishings, equipment, and routine household maintenance group by 8.31 percent; health group by 0.25 percent; transportation group by 1.91 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 7.34 percent; education group by 0.21 percent; food and beverage service providers/restaurants group by 6.06 percent; and personal care and other services group by 4.02 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced a decrease in the index was the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.62 percent.
The month-to-month deflation rate (m-to-m) in Nabire Regency in February 2024 was 1.48 percent, and the year-to-date deflation rate (y-to-d) was 1.57 percent.
